My Story

The Artist​

​My name is Ekaterina Mocalis and I am the owner and artist at Create with Paint.  I have been painting for more than 20 years. My passion for art began when I was 8 years old living in an orphanage in Mstyera, Russia. Spending most of my childhood outdoors made me fall in love with nature and its fascinating beauty. I love recreating things that I see in nature and put my own touch to it to tell a story through color.  Painting is my quiet place, a time where I allow the paint brush and my imagination to create another world on a canvas.  I have participated in several art shows in Temecula, San Diego and Laguna Beach to showcase and sell my work.  I desired to share my passion with others in a different way, a way where people are able to experience it for themselves. Create with Paint allows people to take classes or events in different settings and learn how to paint. You can join a public event and make a fun evening out of it or enjoy a private event in the comfort of your home. Whatever your choice, I'm here to share my art passion with you.
